New York Fashion Week for Spring Summer 2017 started off with a bit of a sizzle (literally) this year. The Yeezy show held press and guests captive on a 4 hour tour, first bussing them to Roosevelt Island and then making them wait for a couple hours at a time in two holding pens in the wrenching heat. On the upside Kanye cast a beautiful rainbow of models, on the downside they were nearly fainting in their anoraks and parkas in the hot summer sun.
Every spring Free Your Mane exhibits in Italy at the largest beauty show in the world, Cosmoprof Bologna. This yearly trip to Italy is just one of the heavy burdens we shoulder and to ease the blow we took three days in Vernazza on the Italian rivieria. Check out the amazing view from our little room..
New York Fashion Week's ho-hum hair (and makeup) ended with a bang when Marc Jacobs paraded models with severe finger waves by Guido Pulau matched with black eyes by Francois Nars. To us, these echoed what we might imagine pre-war Berlin looked like (at least the morning after). While these looks, and a runway featuring Gaga, managed to wake up the fashion press, more wearable, and do-able, looks came down the runway in Milan.
Family Circle honored me by including my family in an article about relationships and how love lasts through the decades. I don't know if I have all the secrets but it was fun talking about Dane and my kids.
